Getting Involved at St. John's
Getting together, discussing issues concerning faith, being part of a community of believers is
what being a Christian is all about. St. John's fosters this through encouraging group discussion
and participation.
Whether it be the study of book of Mark, gaining insights from the Old Testament, or wrestling
with the challenges of being a Christian in today's world, Several group opportunities exist to
be involved in and expand your Christian Faith.
The Following Opportunities Exist at St. John's:
- Adult Forum - Weekly study following Sunday 9:00am Services (typically 10:15am)
- Women's Study Circles:
- Morning Glory Circle - meet the 1st Thursday of each month at 9:00 AM. (except July & Aug.)
- Evening Circle - meet the 1st Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. (except July & Aug.)
- New Beginnings Circle - meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM. (except July & Aug.)
- Prayer Chains - ministry group supporting family, friends, and neighbors in their times of need.
- Community Fellowship Dinners - (Sept. thru May)
- Koffee Klutch - meet for fellowship hour at the Huddle Cafe the last Thurs. of every month.
- Quilting Groups - making quilts in Support of Lutheran World Relief.
The ladies and gentlemen meet every Wed. morning at 8:30 am in the church basement.
Everyone is welcome, you do not need to know how to sew.
- Junior and Cherub Choirs - both Children's choirs practice weekly during Sunday School
and sing during Sunday Worship Service on the 3rd Sunday of each month (Sep. thru May)
- Adult Choir - practice each Thurs. evening at 7:00 PM and
sing during Sunday Worship Service on the 2nd & 4th sunday of each month (Sep. thru May)
- Men's Group - gather for fellowship at the Huddle Cafe on the 3rd Sat. of the month at 7:30 AM.
- Women at the Well - enrich your mind, body and spirit.
Join other mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, girlfriends, workingwomen, and stay at home moms for a simple but elegant meal,
great conversation and encouragement as we discuss Women, Wellness and Wholeness.
